How to use it
- Pick the flake style, then set the amount, size, speed, wind and sway until the preview looks right.
- Choose the frame shape and the loop length. Press Shuffle for a new pattern.
- Choose a background for the file, or keep it transparent.
- Pick a format and download it. In your video editor, put the snow on the track above your footage.
Frequently asked questions
Put the snow file on the track above your footage. With the black MP4, set the blend mode to Screen and the black disappears. With the green MP4, use the chroma key in your editor to remove the green. The transparent WebM and the PNG frames need no extra step in editors that read them.
Yes. Every flake is back where it started when the loop ends, so the last frame leads straight into the first. Fast flakes go from the bottom back to the top out of sight, and slow, far flakes fade in and out as they fall. Set your editor or player to loop the clip, or use Repeat the loop to make a longer file.
MP4 works everywhere, including CapCut and phones: use the black one with the Screen blend mode, or key out the green one. PNG frames keep real transparency in editors that import image sequences, like Premiere Pro, After Effects and DaVinci Resolve. WebM keeps transparency for websites and for editors that read WebM. GIF is for chats, emails and simple web pages, and looks best on the Night sky background. Lottie is for apps and websites.
